Importance: The facts or events have serious implications
Prominence: The persons involved are famous or powerful
Human Interest: This narrative explores the human condition
Conflict: Clashes of people, institutions or ideas
Proximity: The event took place near the audience
Timeliness: This just happened. Or, it relates to a notable day on the calendar, like Christmas or D-Day.
Magnitude: This is really big, or small. It’s all about the numbers.
Relevance: Mental proximity: This event will affect the audience.
